NAWBO-CJ ANNUAL
WOMEN’S BUSINESS CONFERENCE
AND
S.E.E.D. COMPETITION
APRIL 19, 2010
8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
WOODBRIDGE HILTON
120 WOOD AVENUE SOUTH, ISELIN, NJ 08830
The NAWBO-CJ Business Conference is for all entrepreneurs, whether they’re established
and want to revitalize their company, or own start-ups and want to learn how to grow
them. Seminars promise to be of great help in growing your business.
The National Association of Women Business Owners — Central Jersey Chapter created the
Supporting Emerging Entrepreneurial Development — that
is, S.E.E.D.—competition to:
- Encourage women in the formation of strong businesses,
- Share the communal knowledge of experienced entrepreneurs, and
- Support women in the realization of their entrepreneurial dream.
If you are interesting in applying to participate in the 2010 S.E.E.D competition, please
submit an application no later than March 5, 2010.
We recognize that women are starting businesses at twice the rate of the general population. However, according to the Small business Administration, only two-thirds of these new businesses survive more than two years, and only 44 percent survive more than four years.
NAWBO wants these numbers to change. Therefore, as an emerging woman-owned business — that is, in business for less than two years -- NAWBO-CJ encourages you to enter the S.E.E.D. competition.
Ten finalists will be chosen by April 3, 2010. These 10 finalists will showcase their products or services at the Conference, and will present their plans to the attendees, who will vote for the top three winners. Here’s your chance to shine!
Each of these three winners will receive a prize package of products and services worth over $5,000 to help them succeed in business.
Prizes include:
- Design of a brand-identity package
- Sessions of “Coaching to Encourage Business Growth”
- One-year hosting of your website
- Choice of a Feng Shui consultation or Relaxation Package
- $100 certificate towards promotional products branded with your logo, and, of course,
- A NAWBO-CJ membership
COST: Ticket price: $90 members/nonmembers ($80 if registered by April 16)
